Apple to hold Worldwide Developers Conference on June 10

Event to focus on AI advancements, software updates for gadgets

The Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which Apple announced on Tuesday, will take place from June 10 to 14. This announcement comes amid rumours that the iPhone manufacturer is in discussions to form an AI alliance and may reveal major iOS updates, according to Reuters.

The company claimed that the event, which will be streamed live, would showcase changes to the software that powers iPads, iPhones, and other Apple products. It also stated that on the day of opening, a few developers and students will be personally invited to Apple Park.

Investors are keeping a close eye on Apple’s artificial intelligence research and development, as the company has not revealed many details on how it plans to integrate the technology into its products.

Earlier this year, Microsoft overtook the crown to become the most valuable company in the world.

Although the iPhone manufacturer’s AI engine will do more background work throughout the new software, Apple intends to leverage AI technologies, such as Google’s Gemini, for a chatbot within Apple’s operating systems, Bloomberg News reported earlier this month.

Additionally, the firm intends to provide more customization to the iPhone home screen with iOS 18, which, according to some reports, may be the largest operating system upgrade for iPhone in years.

The developer’s conference is taking place at a time when Mac and iPad sales are declining globally, and Apple’s iPhone sales are also faltering.

During the previous year’s conference, Apple introduced the Vision Pro mixed reality headset. A new core processor, and new computers.
